All rooms come equipped with a fan, desk, wardrobe and air conditioning. We can offer accommodation in singles, and doubles(Twin-share rooms) and 6-bed mixed dorms.

Amenities available to our guests include free internet connection (& Wifi in lobby/rooms), 24-hour check-in, 24-hour hot shower, no curfew, cable TV with many english channels, washing machine and dryer, clothes iron, library, teaching jobs message board, Four bathrooms (cleaned daily), guest kitchen, cold and hot filtered drinking water, microwave, toaster and a communal fridge.

The world scholar house is in the center of Taipei, so attractions and distractions are not hard to find.

Locally, there are a number of interesting markets within walking distance, notably the Nan-Ji-Chang Night Market (南機場夜市), Hua-Xi Street Night Market (龍山寺華西街夜市 Sat.- Sun till 12 midnight), the Long-shan Temple), Taipei Botanical Garden(植物園3-minute walk), Machangding Memorial Park(馬場町河濱公園), The Youth Park(青年公園15-minute walk)

Those with a different kind of culture in mind will find that we are a very cheap taxi ride to and from a number of lively nightlife venues.
