Things to do: The world scholar house is in the center of Taipei, so attractions and distractions are not hard to find. Locally, there are a number of interesting markets within walking distance, notably the Nan-Ji-Chang Night Market (南機場夜市), Hua-Xi Street Night Market (龍山寺華西街夜市 Sat.- Sun till 12 midnight), the Long-shan Temple), Taipei Botanical Garden(植物園3-minute walk), Machangding Memorial Park(馬場町河濱公園), The Youth Park(青年公園15-minute walk) Those with a different kind of culture in mind will find that we are a very cheap taxi ride to and from a number of lively nightlife venues.
