Description: Located in a beautiful, residential neighborhood, the International Student Center (ISC), is a landmark brownstone, located in Manhattan on the Upper West Side. We welcome students, lifelong learners, and world travelers, from near and far. One of the absolute best parts about staying in a place like ours, is getting to make new friends from corners of the world. Whether traveling solo or with a group, you are welcome here.

As a small and centrally located hostel, you’ll find charm, comfort, and convenience here. We are a ½ block to Central Park, restaurants, cafes, shops, and the subway. Museums, iconic sites, food markets, and other amenities nearby.

Since 1953, our nonprofit has been bringing people together as a means to build peace and understanding by offering affordable and accessible accommodations in the heart of New York City. By staying at the ISC, you become a part of our global community committed to building a more respectful, sustainable, and just world - one friendship at a time.

Please note: guests staying at ISC must be over 18 years (unless part of a school group). Valid ID must be presented upon arrival - a valid Passport for international travelers and government issued ID for others.
