Cortijo Urra was originally a property owned by the Spanish State. It has recently been restored to a very high standard to enable up to a maximum of ten people at a time to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of this uniquely 'unexplored' area. Urra is composed of many hundreds of hectares producing mainly grapes and grain. The vines are all gone and most of the land lay fallow for decades. Accommodation

The five double rooms all have generous private bathrooms, each with individual styles. Four of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, making for easy access. In addition ,we have some common areas and the location is so superb, that the guests will be able to relax and enjoy this natural wonder spot of Almeria. Our 90 hectares garden is just breathtaking and it will bring to the guests a felling like being in another world.

Surroundings

We are located in a magnificent natural location, away from the pollution and noise of the city. We are pretty near, at a walking distance from the Parque Urra and Cuevas de Sorbas, two of the most relevant natural landmarks of Almeria. In addition, the town of Sorbas is around 3 km away, so it is pretty easy to access this spots from our location. In Sorbas there are several landmarks such as Palacio del Duque de Alba and Ermita de Nuestra Señora de Fátima, that are truly worthwhile to visit.
