The building is going through the application process to become an inheritance of public’s interest. This is a vaulted (arched roof) construction, with the front covered by ceramic tiles with fret-work of decoration (ornamentation), squared stones (ashlars masonry) in the first floors span and frames in mass in the others, and still balustrade with statuettes and ceramic flower-pots. The interior yard and the central staircase are remarkable elements. To honour this prestigious building and upgrade the classification of the hotel, major renovation and improvement plans are planned for 2008. This will have a major impact on the scope and quality of the services offered and should change the hotel into a real charming, historical and comfortable site. This works will change the current hotel into a modern facility while keeping the original architectural characteristics and façade of the building. Nowadays, the Hotel de Moura is a 2 star facility with 35 guest rooms and 3 apartments, all of them equipped with modern amenities such as full bathroom, hairdryer, telephone, TV and air conditioning. The apartments include a full kitchen or kitchenette. The facilities include a Club Room with a bar, coffee shop and satellite TV, a reading and board games room with a fireplace, beautiful and charming hallways and terraces, an interior yard and spacey multipurpose rooms for private and business events.
